‘BioBijoux’ and it is a project that embodies a unique collaboration between luxury, materialism, and utopia. A brighter future relies on all of us, including luxury brands, to adapt and be mindful of the life cycles of our material consumption.
The visual language in the projects draws on biological materials grown out of fungus and bacteria. The project uses these visuals to speculate about how these materials are used in luxury production, enabling us to imagine a future where more sustainable versions of these products might exist and to question existing cultural attitudes and economic structures around consumption.
The Artist
Diana Ganea is a London based multidisciplinary artist and designer interested in 3D animation, digital design and multi-sensory experiential design. At the heart of the work, there is the constant urge to “question the reality we live in and the unspoken rules imposed on us by our society.” It’s a critically engaged practice, brought to life by combining conceptual grounding with a relentlessly experimental approach to making.
